I finally found it! I have no idea how long I've found myself stranded out here, but I know I found it! Almost exactly a replica of the images shown in the level log. I believe I got into the sublevel 2 days ago.
About three days ago, I a little less than half my food supply left. I was planning on heading back soon. However, I was starting to notice my surroundings steadily changing as I was walking forward. It was very odd since I was so used to the buzzing fluorescent light "sheets" and the light bulbs were quite startling. It was that moment I realized, I had found it!
Oddly, the topmost layer was no longer so 'thin', at least to the severity described in the N.T.G. entry, as I walked through there for a full day, barely seeing any changes. My educated is that this sub-level is still growing, even now. However, I must not get sidetracked. Once inside the second to top layer, I started hearing some sounds. It started just as panting, soon changing into footsteps. I thought I was going insane at first, then I realized it must be an entity.
That was the second I started to run. Of course, it followed. I looked back and saw it, a strange monkey-hound creature, similar to the one described prior. Luckily, it lost interest very quickly; since it was likely just protecting it's territory. Soon after that incident, I realized I should stop wandering deeper in, as my luck would likely run out soon. Of course, I was lost at that point, but I knew it wouldn't be too long if I could identify the exits as per my training.
It took another day, but I finally made my way back to Level 0. In fact, I've already made it back to Level 1. By now, they must've done at least something to console the public. Farewell, and till next time.
P.S I'll put these logs into the level data; our citizens need to understand what the truth is.
